As white people, racism can be difficult to see and understand. However, that does not mean it does not exist. The US was built on racism, our country was built to lift up white people and oppress every single person of color. Even if you do not realize it, racism and has lifted you up during every stage of your life and in the process literally killed and imprisoned millions of people of color. Open your eyes and step outside of your white privilege.
